The landing in Santa Fe will be wet, so we will have to jump on the impressive white sand beach. Several sea lions will immediately receive us, inviting us to start a walk to look for the resident species of Santa Fe. Once the walk is over, we will be able to enjoy a swim in the Encañada, where we will also be able to snorkel and observe sea turtles, rays, sea lions, and colorful fish while swimming in the warm, crystalline waters of this island.

Our day begins in Sullivan Bay, a spectacular snorkeling destination in Galapagos. Its crystal-clear waters unveil a thriving underwater world where schools of tropical fish weave through rocky formations. With luck, you might spot reef sharks patrolling the ocean floor, sea turtles gliding gracefully, and even playful sea lions interacting with swimmers. This pristine, wildlife-rich environment makes Sullivan Bay a must-visit for ocean and nature lovers.
This island, with its iconic pinnacle, is located northwest of Santa Cruz. Upon arriving at Bartolome, we will have a dry landing. Then, we will begin the walk along a path that will take us to the top of the island, through its 395 steps that will end with a spectacular panoramic view of the island and its pinnacle, being the moment to take that stunning photo of our trip. During the walk, we will observe small lava tunnels that are the product of the last eruption and where endemic vegetation grow, such as lava cacti and tiquilla plants, generally surrounded by Darwin’s finches.

We will depart by bus to the Itabaca Channel, where we will board the Galaxy Daily. After arriving in North Seymour, we will have a dry landing and immediately start hiking on a 2.5 km (1.55 miles) trail where we can go clockwise along the coast or head inland first to visit the colony of boobies. Get ready to spot land iguanas and marine iguanas; also, a colony of sea lions, lava lizards, frigates, and pelicans!
After, we will go to the beach known as Bachas, located north of Santa Cruz Island. Here we can snorkel or take a relaxing walk on the beach. For this, we will make a wet landing, in which we will jump from the panga to the shore of the beach. Again, we recommend disembarking barefoot and wearing light walking shoes for the rest of the journey. The saltwater lagoon behind the beach often has great blue herons and small birds. Both beaches are nesting areas for green sea turtles.
